Remittance Advice Generator

Create a professional remittance advice to accompany a supplier payment. Financial and document content stays in this browser; only coarse, content-free usage events may be counted.

Remittance advice is a notification, not proof of payment.

Prepare a clear payment notification without an ERP login

A remittance advice tells a supplier which invoices a payment is intended to settle. This generator is designed for a narrow, practical task: assemble payer and supplier details, record the amounts applied to each invoice, catch a mismatch before sharing, and produce a document the recipient can reconcile against their ledger. It does not move money or confirm that a payment cleared.

What this tool does

Add one or many invoice lines and record the original amount, cash paid, credit applied, discount taken, and remaining balance. The generator uses integer cents rather than floating-point arithmetic, recalculates every line, and compares the invoice amount paid with the payment total you enter.

When the figures are ready, you can print the professional preview or use your browser’s Save as PDF option. You can also copy a plain email subject and body, or export a machine-readable JSON file and a simple CSV invoice schedule.

What it does not do

RemitNote does not connect to a bank, accounting package, payment processor, supplier portal, or email provider. It does not initiate a transfer, verify bank details, send the email, upload receipts, perform OCR, store documents in the cloud, or prove a payment occurred.

Do not enter a bank account number, routing number, card number, login, tax identifier, or other unnecessary secret. A remittance advice normally needs invoice references and allocation amounts—not credentials. Confirm every destination and figure in your approved accounting workflow.

Privacy and trust

Payer names, supplier names, invoice references, dates, addresses, email addresses, and amounts are held only in this page’s memory. The site does not upload or persist those fields. Reloading or closing the tab clears the active draft, while exported files remain wherever your browser saves them.

The site may count four anonymous workflow events: tool loaded, sample loaded, reconciliation reached, and export completed. Those events contain only the event name, environment, and version. They never contain names, invoice identifiers, dates, references, addresses, email text, currency, or amounts.

How it works

  1. Enter only the payer, supplier, payment, and invoice details needed for the notice.
  2. Use credits and discounts separately from the cash amount paid. Correct any negative balance or invalid amount.
  3. Set the payment total and wait for the green matched state. Review the preview, then copy or export it.

A matched total is an arithmetic check, not evidence of bank settlement. Before sharing, compare the draft with the authorized payment record and follow your organization’s approval, fraud-prevention, and record-retention procedures.

If a supplier disputes an allocation, reopen the authorized payment record rather than treating this draft as the source of truth. Use a new notice for corrected allocations, retain it under your existing records policy, and clearly distinguish the correction from the original notification.
